Presci Squad Rules
Squads are football prediction communities for entertainment and friendly competition. Presci does not accept stakes, hold prize money, operate wagers, or guarantee rewards arranged by users.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These rules apply to every Presci Squad and supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating, joining, managing, or participating in a Squad, you agree to follow these rules.
2. Squad Formats
A Squad may cover a competition, team, team within a competition, competition round or matchday, team within a round, or one fixture. The Squad's visible focus and eligible fixture set control which predictions can count.
The server stores a frozen scope snapshot for limited match, round, and matchday formats. After entry closes, an owner or member cannot quietly replace counted fixtures.
3. Joining, Capacity, and Eligibility
- A member must join successfully before participating. Invite codes do not bypass capacity, account limits, removal restrictions, or deadlines.
- New Squads use member-join scoring: only eligible fixtures kicking off after that member joined can count for that member. Joining late never imports older predictions.
- Some established Squads may retain a legacy Squad-creation scoring start. The in-app Ranking Rules identify the applicable rule.
- Each Squad has a server-enforced member limit. Owners may choose an available limit, and larger community capacity may require Presci support.
- Account-tier creation and participation limits are enforced by the server and may change prospectively. A limit change does not rewrite certified results.
4. Entry Deadlines
Single-fixture, round, matchday, and other finite formats close entry when their first selected fixture kicks off, unless an earlier visible deadline applies. A postponed or corrected kickoff may be verified against authoritative fixture data. Once entry is closed, new members and scope changes are rejected.
5. Scoring
Squads use Presci's canonical score for each eligible prediction. A Squad does not create a separate scoring formula or let an owner edit points. The points shown for the same scored prediction elsewhere in Presci are the points used by the Squad.
Voided, cancelled, or otherwise non-counting predictions do not earn Squad points. If sports data is corrected, Presci may rescore affected predictions before certification.
6. Standings and Tie-Breakers
Members are ordered by the following rules:
- Total points, highest first.
- Exact scores, highest first.
- Correct results, highest first.
- Fewer counted picks.
- Earlier last scored pick.
- A stable account order if every previous value remains tied.
The final stable account order exists only to prevent tied rows from reshuffling. It is not an extra performance score.
7. Final Results
A finite Squad can be certified only after every included fixture is terminal or properly voided, final scores are verified, and eligible predictions are scored. Until then, the result may show that Presci is waiting for matches, delayed provider data, scoring, or verification.
Certification stores a read-only standings snapshot and integrity hash. Managers may mark certified winners as announced. An owner may archive a certified Squad after pending governance cases are resolved; archived Squads remain visible to members but become read-only.
8. Roles and Governance
| Role | General authority |
|---|---|
| Owner | Manages settings, roles, capacity, eligible direct removals, ownership transfer, appeals, announcements, and archive actions. |
| Admin | Helps moderate regular members and may start an eligible Tribunal case. An admin cannot discipline the owner or another admin through manager controls. |
| Member | Participates, reports content, privately blocks users, views eligible Tribunal cases, and votes only when selected as an eligible juror. |
Manager actions are server-validated. Owners and admins cannot alter prediction points, import old picks, exceed capacity, expose private reports, or bypass a final-result certification check.
9. Warnings, Restrictions, Removal, and Tribunal
- Managers may record warnings and temporary chat restrictions with a reason. The affected member receives a private notice and may acknowledge it.
- Official moderation history is visible only to the affected member where applicable and to active managers who need it. Other members do not receive private warning records.
- Direct removal is limited by role and prediction-protection rules. A member with counted participation may require a Tribunal rather than unilateral removal.
- Only an active owner or admin may start an eligible Tribunal case. The juror panel is frozen at opening, voting lasts up to 24 hours, and removal requires two-thirds support under the in-app case rules.
- Rate limits, duplicate-case controls, cooldowns, and rejoin restrictions are enforced by the server.
10. Appeals
An eligible member may submit one appeal within seven days of a mute, suspension, or removal. Appeal access and review authority depend on the action and current Squad state. Approval of a removal appeal may clear a rejoin restriction, but it never bypasses a closed deadline, capacity, or account limit.
11. Conduct, Reports, and Personal Blocks
Do not post illegal, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, harassing, defamatory, privacy-invasive, fraudulent, infringing, or spam content. Do not impersonate another person, coordinate abuse, manipulate Tribunal participation, or use Squads to arrange unlawful activity.
- Members can privately report a Squad name, description, friendly tribute, or another member's chat message from the app.
- Reports include a private evidence snapshot for Presci's safety review. Squad managers and the reported user are not shown the reporter's identity.
- Any user may privately block another user. The blocked user is not notified, and the block can be removed later from Blocked Users.
- Blocking changes the reporting user's personal content view; it does not cast a Tribunal vote or automatically punish the blocked account.
Presci may remove content, restrict features, delist or suspend a Squad, suspend an account, preserve evidence, or contact appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, policy compliance, or law.
12. Friendly Tributes and Outside Rewards
A friendly tribute is optional text arranged by Squad members. Presci does not collect, hold, guarantee, administer, arbitrate, or enforce an outside reward, gift, promise, or agreement. Do not use Squads to solicit stakes, entry fees, wagers, or unlawful prizes.
13. Data Corrections and Service Availability
Fixtures, kickoff times, scores, and statuses can be delayed or corrected by data providers. Presci may pause finalization, repair data, void an ineligible fixture, or recalculate affected standings before certification. Temporary displays are not guaranteed final results.
14. Rule Changes and Contact
We may update these rules prospectively for safety, product, legal, or operational reasons. Material changes may be announced in the app and will receive a new version or effective date. Questions, safety concerns, and appeals that cannot be completed in the app can be sent to support@presciapp.com.
